The redevelopment is the first major upgrade for the facility since its initial construction 20 years ago. The new 16 bed Wellington Wing has been designed to modern aged care standards. Each room has its own private ensuite with a ceiling lifting system device to enable staff to move residents within the rooms. Rooms are also fitted with a Questek wireless nurse call Assist system.
