The project involved the construction of 25m Hydrotherapy Pool, Clubhouse, Amenities, Kiosk, Café and Maintenance Facility over 2 levels on the site adjacent to the Barossa Park Aged Care Facility.
In addition an Overflow Car Parking Facility, piping of river and associated walking tracks and a Community garden were a feature of this project.
Key Engineering features of the project included:
Use of latest technologies and alternative solutions for an integrated wireless nurse call system with redundancy, Wi-Fi telephony complete with fire and security system alarm messaging
Occupancy sensing for various exhaust and electrical systems control
Lighting throughout utilised the latest in LED technology coupled with control systems.
Wi-Fi infrastructure and networks to enable VLAN of both Staff and Residents wireless internet access couple with resident care software installations other than acting on a platform for these services
Fully networked CCTV system comprising of some 80 cameras via dedicated Cat 6 cabling
Public access and Car Park lighting installations
Body protection systems
In-slab floor heating systems
Background Music and Paging systems inclusive of auxiliary hearing augmentation systems
Technologies incorporating automation of external glazing blinds and electric window/louvres awnings controlled via ambient temperature levels
Natural gas fired Heating Hot Water condensing boiler installation including skid mount dual boilers/primary pumps/hydraulic separator, secondary circulating pumps, pool heating heat exchangers supply air reheat coil, all pipework and insulation, chemical dosing and make-up/expansion equipment
Pool hall dehumidification, ventilation and air conditioning system including packaged heat exchanger units/cool/reheat dehumidifier, filters, HHW reheat coil, collapsible fabric supply ductwork
